Salado: Public Meetings: 3/27/2001 Public MeetingNOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETINGIH 35: S. FM 2268 to FM 2484 in SaladoThe Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will conduct a public meeting to discuss the proposed widening of Interstate 35 from FM 2268 to FM 2484 in Salado. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Salado Intermediate School Cafeteria at 550 Thomas Arnold Rd. in Salado. Prior to the formal presentation at 7:00 p.m., TxDOT staff and representatives will be available to answer questions from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in an informal setting. The proposed project will reconstruct and widen the existing highway from four lanes to six lanes initially, and allow for the additional construction of a seventh and eighth lane ultimately. A concrete traffic barrier will be provided between the northbound and southbound sections. Additional right-of-way will be required for the project and relocations may be necessary. Information concerning the States Relocation Assistance Program and the benefits and services available to affected property owners will be available at the meetings. Maps and other drawings showing proposed locations and designs will be displayed at the meeting. This material is available at TxDOTs Interstate 35 Project Office located at 801 Austin Avenue, Suite 1030, Waco, TX 76701. All interested citizens are invited to attend the meeting and express their views. Persons interested in attending who have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to contact Ms. Alisa Polansky, PE at (254) 754-8087 as soon as possible so that arrangements can be made. Since the public meeting will be conducted in English, any requests for language interpreters or other special communication needs should be made at least one week prior to the meeting. TxDOT will make every reasonable effort to accommodate these needs. Verbal and written comments regarding the proposed project are requested. Comments may be presented either at the meeting or in writing after the meeting. Comments must be received no later than 10 days following the meeting in order to be included in the public meeting record. Written statements may be submitted to Mr. John F. Obr, PE, I-35 Project Director, Texas Department of Transportation, 801 Austin Avenue, Suite 1030, Waco, TX 76701 at any time on or before 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2001. |
