These sections cover the area from the Williamson County Line north to FM 2268 south of Salado and from FM 2484 north to Loop 121 in Belton (approximately 11.5 miles).

At the top of the display is the Existing Typical Section. This indicates current conditions in this rural area of IH 35. Typical right-of-way width is 250 feet. There are two mainlanes in each direction with 2-way frontage roads.

The next display is the proposed typical section which indicates a shift in baseline alignment of 14 feet to the east. If the design speed limit were below 45 mph, there would be a need for approximately 100 feet of additional right-of-way. This 100 feet would be split between approximately 27 feet on the west side of the section and approximately 73 feet to the east.

The third display is the proposed typical section also indicating a shift in baseline alignment of 14 feet to the east. However, with a design speed of greater than 45 mph, there would be a need for approximately 130 feet of additional right-of-way. The split would be approximately 42 feet on the west side and approximately 88 feet on the east side of the proposed section.

The typical section second from the bottom indicates a shift in the baseline alignment of 14 feet to the west. If the design speed limit were below 45 mph, there would again be a need for approximately 100 feet of additional right-of-way. However, this 100 feet would be split between approximately 55 feet on the west side of the section and approximately 45 feet to the east.

The typical section on the bottom of the display again indicates a shift in the baseline alignment of 14 feet to the west. If the design speed limit were above 45 mph, there would be a need for approximately 130 feet of additional right-of-way. The split would be approximately 70 feet on the west side and approximately 60 feet on the east side of the proposed section.

All proposed typical sections indicated three mainlanes in each direction with a future widening for special use lane in each direction. Also shown are one-way frontage roads with 2 lanes in each direction. All approximate right-of-way needs are based on level terrain and would be greater in a hilly terrain.
